Terms of Service

Last updated: May 9, 2026

These Terms govern product-level use of BabelCom mobile app, hosted billing, lifecycle registration, support, and Somewhat Labs-operated services. Installed sites may publish additional site-specific terms for local access-control operations.

Use of the Service

You may use BabelCom only for lawful building access, intercom, resident communication, support, billing, and site administration purposes. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for using the service according to your role and permissions.

Site Administration

Building owners, estate operators, installers, and administrators are responsible for confirming site identity, resident data, access rules, billing mode, retention settings, and local legal requirements before making a site available to residents.

Availability

BabelCom is designed to support local operation, but no service is guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free. Some features may depend on device connectivity, local network conditions, third-party communications providers, payment providers, or hosted services.

Acceptable Use

You must not misuse BabelCom, bypass security controls, access data without authorization, interfere with service operation, upload malicious content, or use the service to harass, threaten, defraud, or unlawfully monitor others.

Billing

Where hosted billing is enabled, fees, credits, invoices, payment processing, taxes, refunds, and plan changes are governed by the applicable billing terms presented to the customer or site operator.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somewhat Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of BabelCom. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
